6 Shooter Showdown: Most Wanted

For this title I developed two mini games and the mission progression system. The mission system was exposed to designers as an easy to edit script file. The game was developed in J2ME and ported to Brew.

SpiderMonk Entertainment asked me and the other interns to stay past our allocated internship time (as determined by the Guildhall) in order to continue work on the engine we started building from scratch. Given an opportunity to work with the XBOX 360 XDK was reason enough for me to stay.

My tasks during the engine development included:

  • Developed multithreading abstraction layer, math and collision classes, quaternion camera, and resource management classes
  • Wrote a Softimage XSI mesh exporter
  • Wrote the particle system backend
  • Developed a profiling system
