The Fiona Project
The Fiona Project is the final project that I worked on during the last two terms at the Guildhall. The Fiona Project was built with Valve Software's Source Engine. I was chiefly responsible for developing the shaders to produce the black and white ink-on-paper look that our artists wanted to achieve. To this end I iterated six versions of black and white shaders, reworked the rendering path our game would take, and developed an external tool to modify Valve's .vtf format textures in order for us to specify specific bitmaps at each mip-map level.

Element
Element is a onslaught style game built on Unreal Tournament 2004. Element is the first team project I worked on at the Guildhall. We developed the entire game in three months time, during our third term. My job was primarely to take care of coding the new features of the power cores and power nodes, which serve as the capture points in the game. This task familiarized me with importing static and animated meshes, writing AI control functions, synchronizing state information, authoring particle effects and shaders, and perhaps most importantly, working with a team to develop a larger project with specific milestones.
